Favorite Friday Pizza Wine

As most of you know, I make pizza on Fridays. And along with my pizza, I usually have a glass of wine (or three). Here are some of my favorite wines to drink with my pizza (or honestly just any time).

Burlotto Barbera & Barbera Aves
Marengo Barbera
Cavallotto Dolcetto
Andrea Oberto Dolcetto
Trediberri Langhe Nebbiolo

Some of these wines are available at Vinmonopolet! If you can’t find the wine you like, let me know and I can help you track it down. If you want more suggestions, you can subscribe to my Newsletter!

Mangialonga 2018

Have you ever been to Mangialonga?

If not, you should! I mean, a day of food, wine and beautiful landscape – who can say no to that?

ja

I’ve mentioned Mangialonga before, but basically it’s just a walk where you stop along the way to eat and drink. You work your way through the courses and grapes: dolcetto, barbera, nebbiolo and barolo. It’s a day to have lots of fun, eat and drink until you fall asleep (preferably not during the course, although some have been known to take a nap or two).

I recommend taking the trip – I know I am going! Hopefully I’ll see some of you there. I’ll probably be at one of the stands, so if you’re there this year, please come say hello!

Vacation – Barolo Next!

This year’s summer vacation is under way! And surprise surprise – I am heading to Barolo! Hopefully I’ll get to visit some new wineries and try some new things, but I will for sure visit some of the usual places. More e Macine here I come!!!

If you have any tips or suggestions please feel free to send me a message!!

L’osteria del Vignaiolo

If you’re ever on my instagram, you’ll see I frequent Osteria del Vignaiolo! It is a must when I am in Piemonte. The food pictures really speak for themselves – and yes I know I always eat the same things! But wouldn’t you eat this all day if you could?

It has become a tradition to go here with the locals when I celebrate something – my graduation, my birthday. And this apple dessert has become my absolute favorite! The first time I had it I cried and ordered another one (because I stole the first one from Fabio Ferrero – SORRY!) But look how nice they make it with the chocolate letters and candle. The staff at Vignaiolo really is incredible.

If you’re in the area, I’d say that eating here is a must! They have a really nice outdoor area for summer time, but the inside is also nice. (Norwegian always have to be outside when the weather permits). If you go, say hello from me!

Siliva Altare, me and Jenny (M Marengo)

Once again I am gearing up for Mangialonga! I think that I’ll be able to go this year!

Mangialonga is 4 km non competetive enogastronomic hike that takes place in La Morra. In other words, you walk around in the beautiful Langhe while eating and drinking. I don’t think it gets better than that!

You can read more about it here and here.
